“It’s not the length of life, but the depth of life.”

– Ralph Waldo Emerson

  Father, Husband, Entrepreneur, Community
Volunteer, Mastiff Breeder and Dog Show
Enthusiast, James William Walker, “Jimmy”,
started Lazy D Mastiffs along with his wife Nancy
in 1996. While Jimmy was quiet ring side and
extremely supportive of Nancy as she reached for her
dreams of breeding top winning Mastiffs, it is
safe to say that Jimmy loved them all. He always had
an extra ice cube or scrap of food off his plate
ready for whomever asked for it. Likewise,
He always made sure he had a drool towel
strategically placed across his lap so even the
most drooly of faces could get the loving they deserved.

Jimmy enjoyed traveling all over the country spending time with wonderful friends in the mastiff community and watching his mastiffs soar to heights that only few mastiffs ever achieve. When you walked into his office it was clear where Jimmy spent most of his time on the weekends. His walls were adorned with ribbons, show photos and wonderful memories.

Jimmy loved the breed and, in true testament, was laid to rest in Coldwater Mississippi with his trusty Porkchop by his side.
